Sale el Sol (English: The Sun Comes Out) is the third bilingual and seventh overall studio album by Colombian Latin-pop singer-songwriter Shakira. The album was released on October 19, 2010. The album cover was released on August 31, 2010. In a promotion strategy, Los 40 Principals in Spain premiered the album on streaming on October 12, one week before the album release. Shakira performed the album's title track back in June 2010 during the Rock In Rio concert in Madrid. On June 26, 2010 she also performed "Gordita (feat Calle 13)" and "Islands" on Glastonbury Festival 2010.
